    Hey everyone!

I just lately discovered this forum which I find quite interesting as I always thought serious Lebanese gamers and hardware-lovers are not too numerous.

Now concerning the topic of this post, I'm having trouble changing the PSN password of my Lebanese user on my PS3 after the last PSN outage. For reference, I have 3 users on my PS3: 1 in Lebanon, 1 in France, and 1 in the USA, as I need each one of those for different reasons (such as activating online functions or downloading add-ons depending on the region of the game). I changed the passwords of the last two directly through my PS3 and everything went fine. However, to change the password of the first account (Lebanon), i'm being sent an e-mail with a link directing me to a page to do that; after i proceed with the modification, I receive the ugly error that the Playstation Store is not available in my country (as if I don't already know that).

My problem is that I always was able to use this account to access the PSN without the Store and this is exactly what I need this account for: to play online (even though I don't do this that often but still) especially that I have all my trophies and my real country of residence under this account. I know that I can quite simply use my other 2 accounts to play online but I really don't wanna do that (for the above-mentioned reasons).

I was going to send Sony an e-mail concerning this issue, but I preferred to see if anyone already found a solution to this problem.

I will be eagerly waiting for your answers and any feedback you might have.

    Cheers!

I had the same problem man, I changed my password from the UK website. also Kareem is a pro in this situation, I'll contact him. and you can also try this solution that he posted on this page

If someone here using an account in a region with no PS store and received his password reset link, but he is experiencing issues. According to this all you have to do is in the link replace "security" by "reset".

Update: Kareem has informed me, that Sony Disabled anyway to reset the password for an account that has no store in it's region.

If what shatilov told you didnt work, it most likely wont, then the only way is to wait.
SCEI doesnt allow anyone with a PSN account that doesnt have PS store in his region (like Lebanon) not to just reset the password but also to sign in your account on any PlayStation website. This happened to a friend of mine and my work-around didnt work so it was obvious that SCEI is blocking regions with no PlayStation Store to use their account on a browser. He tried contacting SCEE MEA branch by email but no luck, though i tried directly 24 hours after the servers were back online but not now.

You are a bit late, but if you still have hope of resetting the password of the Lebanese account then so this email to contact Sony MEA costumer support.
Of course in time they may allow using the browser to use your account but i think you should ask them about that.

Actually this whole thing started after a good user who owns a site emailed Sony about an exploit in the email resetting system that users could use to reset other user's passwords. So that is why they shutdown any mean to reset or log in to an account (any account) on the browser. Then after that by about a week everything was back to normal except for regions with no PlayStation Store availability.
