Note that skyrim is the name of the region that you play the game in

could this be the RPG game of the decade, maybe.
could this iteration of the elder scroll be the best game ever, maybe.
    could I be exaggerating, perhaps.

why do I say this, because this game is awesome.
but what makes Skyrim that great, watch after the following commercial.
oh sorry, i forget i was typing.

    Presentation: Very good

you start the game inside a prisoners caravan taken to the town Helgen to be executed for conspiracy against the empire that accuses you of being part of the storkmcloak- rebellious faction in skyrim -, when suddenly a dragon attacks the area throwing everyone into confusion. the first half to one of the game begins by teaching you the basics of movement, spells, inventory, and story.
you can choose between 10 races to start with :

4 Human races : ( Nord, -original inhabitant of skyrim-, imperial, redgaurd, breton)
3 elven races : ( high elves, dark elves, wood elves)
3 other races : ( orcs, argonian ( reptile like humanoid), khajit ( catlike huminoid) )
    Male or Female each

each race has their own benefit, for example high elves start with the most magika, and have a power that you can use once per game day that quickly regenerate magika for 60 seconds. and plus 10 or five point for magical skills ( destruction, conjuration, illusion...) .
Nords have for example 50% cold resistance and a power of battle cry that causes enemy to flee and start with plus points toward two handed weapons, light armor archery + other fighting skill.
However you can play with any race, anyway you like. and that is the beauty of the game.
in my first play-through i played as a male high elf, that specials in destruction magic, wears heavy armor, can smith any armor he likes, powerful enchanter.
the skyrim interface change a lot from the latest elder scroll game - oblivion - , however the new menu although nice looking and easy to navigate is oriented toward the xbox 360 and PS3, sometimes it takes long time to find an item since the list is usually long at only part of the list is visible and their is a lot of spaces, however their a small popular mod that can be installed which changes the UI to better fit the PC version.
the maps is now 3d, at first it is gonna be confusing, but when you get use to it, you will see the benefit of having 3d map . even the leveling up menu completely redesigned and now it has more features and easy to navigate

    Graphics. : excellent

The graphics in this game is amazing (PC version) , especially compared to older games such as oblivion. or even new games such as dragon age 2, or witcher 2. the draw distance is huge except when their is a blizzard , and the view from the tall cold mountain skyrim looking down on the vast plains , and the running rivers is amazing.
Also helps that the each city, town, have different styles, from the stone city of Markarth to the plains of whiterun, from the rich city of solitude, to the poor city if windhelm.
Almost every piece of the world of skyrim is well detailed.
This game is sure an eye candy.

    gameplay : excellent

what do you call a game with good graphics with terrible gameplay ? benchmark suite because it has no other uses.
Luckily skyrim is game where gameplay is just as good as it graphics - even better -. that is if you like action RPG.
you can play as first person or third person, but the game is really was made to be played as a first person action game. that game adapts well to your style of playing for example if you play with one sword in hand and the other is destruction spells ( fire, ice, lightning) you will find your self leveling up in these areas, when your attribute is increased by 10 lets say ( 4 destruction , 4 in one handed , 2 in archery) you gain one level, then you can increase one of these states ( health, stamina or magika) plus one skill form the skill tree ex : ( destruction spell consume less magica, or additional damage from spell or from sword or archery, heavy armor bonus ...) there many skills that can be had, there are almost twenty different skill trees each have like 10-15 skills that you can choose from.
you will end up focusing one certain branches inside the skill trees. for me i focused on the smithing tree maxed it which allowed to make the best weapons and armors at forges out of the dragon scales and bones . i also spend points in the destruction magic tree that allowed to cast electrical magic spells for less magika and have a higher damage, also on heavy armor which made the heavy armor even more powerful and doesn't slow down when you run.
but you can play anyway you want, i am currently replaying the game while focusing on light armor, archery, sneak, two handed weapons and smithing. with a pinch of conjuration ( calling creature from other worlds worlds to fight for you )
in this game you can collect ingredients to make potion and poisons, weapons and armor, cooking and enchantment.
during the game you will begin to learn shouts, by killing dragons and absorbing their souls and finding power shouts that are hidden throughout the world.
in this game you can even get sick, become a vampire, a werewolf, a theif , a mage an assassin, a mecenary, a soldier, a rebel ( even more that one of the previous stuff at a time ).
you can even get married and have your wife cook for you once a day. you can buy property and decorate your house . you can ride horses , hunt , sleep, pick flowers, solve puzzles, pray at alter, fight evil, be evil.
this is truly a second world that you will live in and love it, at some time you will which that you are actually their
plus plenty of support from the modding community and you end up with one of the best gameplay on an RPG games

    sounds: Very good

the music and sound effect and voice acting is the top of the line. although i did notice that a lot of the NPC have common voice, but is not a real problem since the most of the important characters in the game have different voice actors.

    story : excellent

Amazing story, you will find out after the first few hour of the game that you are a dragonborn ( dhovakkin in dragontogue) that means you can learn dragon shouts and absorb the souls of the dragon after you kill them to become even stronger. and you must figure out why the dragon are returning. and that is just main quest.
parallel to that their is the civil war going between the stormcloak -rebels - and the empire, where the rebels demand their independence from the empire after they felt betrayed by them, note that events in skyrim takes places after almost two hundred years after the events of oblivion. The empire which once ruled the world now is divided in many parts because of the high elves that launched war against the empire and won against them and forced the empire to give up huge parts of lands ( where the non-human lives ) and outlawed the worship of Talos , which angerd the nords in skyrim. you can choose to side with any part or ignore the entire civil war quests
even without those their are many quest to do and guilds available to joint , each have their own stories and takes to different part of skyrim. in each town there are quest to be done and rewords to be claimed, bantdits to be rooted, vampires to be killed, items to be found, locations to be discoverd.
each quest is unique, any many quest have more that way to do it, leaving you to write the story of the legend of the dragonborn

    lasting appeal : excellent

i have played the game for much more that 100 hours and their is a lot that i Have not done. althought after completing the main quest you can still continue the game. I restarted it playing with a diffrent race with a diffrent style. and trying to do some of these quest differently. you can even try to mess with game by installing new mods.
in short this game is gonna take away a lot of your time, of your sleep, of your studies and of your social life. but it is worth it

    cons :
various bugs in the game and sometime weird physics
sometime going from on place to another is difficult and takes too long ( going through mountains and hills)
weird friendly AI, manytimes your follower will still in front of you when you want to pass through doors and tight corridors. and many times to chargers in the direction where you are hitting or shooting spells and arrows, bite that your follower can only die if you hit him

    conclusion
if you love action RPG this game is for you, if you like action RPG this game is for you, if you just don't hate action RPG this game is for you.
this gave lived up to its hype and then some. delivering great experience from the moment the game load to the moment the game ends. there is plenty of content to keep you for month. when you are not playing it you are thinking about it, or humming the epic theme tune in your head.
Bathesa soft . job well done.

    Ranking 9.5/10
the only reason that i didn't give a ten is the bugs in the game and the sometime stupid friendly AI.

    Hope you enjoy reading

OK to tell u the truth, skyrim is one of the most amazing games i ever played, the elder scrolls series is one of my favorite sequel of games i ever played and i have played them all.

Skyrim by far is the best, some problems maybe with archery that is better in oblivion maybe ( personal opinion ) and maybe the lack of a big number of spells ( they could have put more destruction spells ), And in addition to the very buggy cinematic when the character executes finishing moves, dragons and other NPCs alike, but in overall, great gameplay, amazing graphics in overall

And btw speaking of graphics, if u think about the game, skyrim is a game with shit textures but that looks fantastic lol..

But in the end, i say all that, considering the game as a whole, with many problems, but if we forget consoles, mods change this game so much... many many things that you can download now and many more to come with the new creation kit that Bethesda introduced a couple of weeks ago ...

This is a game with an amazing scale, it is a game that i have spent more than 500 hours on ( and considering i had 7 playthroughs till now, maybe i had even more ) and i advise everyone to buy this game and at least try it for it is worth the money ..
